Tom Adams' Agatha Christie
From 1963 to 1979 Tom Adams painted the covers of Agatha Christie's Fontana paperbacks, most titles more than once: still lifes of the objects in a case, often with a clue hidden among them. These are the paintings the collector David Morris credits to Adams from the Fontana printings themselves (collectingchristie.com), in the order Fontana first used them, each matched to a cover Open Library holds. Behind each cover is the wall of the book's other faces.
