Willy Fleckhaus designed the insel taschenbuch in 1972: pale card in ten colours, classical type, and a picture taken from an old book illustration, painting or portrait in a window on the front. The wall shows numbers 1 to 1500, the years of that design, where Open Library holds the cover; later numbers mix other designs.
